The course programme is presented as follows:



Level one starter.

General objectives.


  • English language learners at the beginner level (level 1) will develop speaking, listening, reading, writing and acculturation knowledge and skills necessary to transit to the high beginner level (level 2)
  • Learn core vocabulary assigned for this stage
  • Students will learn the basics of the English language that would form the foundation for its mastery in the future
  • Develop the awareness of the importance of the English language as an international means of communication in other to benefit from the achievements of other cultures

ELEMENTARY LEVEL (level 2).

  • Students should be able to acquire basic language skills (listening ,speaking, reading and writing in other to communicate with speakers of English language
  • Students should be able to express themselves orally using simple English
  • Learn core vocabulary assigned for this stage
  • Listen and understand simple English

Pre intermediary level (level 3).

4 DURATION OF TRAINNING 4 MONTHS 350 – 400 hours

General objectives.


The pre-intermediary level is a communicative English course. The course further develop students language skills and strategies in reading, writing, listening and speaking to a level where they can implement or apply their language skills to longer, more complex material and tasks that help build confidence and prepare students proceed to the intermediary level


Speaking interaction and production objectives.

  • Deal with situations when they travel in an area where people speak English
  • Talk about family, hobbies, work, travel and current events
  • Give reasons for and, explanation for opinions and plans
  • Tell the story of a book or film and describe your reactions
  • Understand the main points on many radio or TV programmes on current affairs or familiar topics
  • Write simple familiar topics, personal letters describing experiences and impression

Intermediary level.

General objectives.


The level four course is designed to help intermediary Level course students develop their intermediary English language skills so that they can already begin to experiment with the four language skills.


  • Understand simple exchanges, common daily instruction, and direct question about familiar topics routine media announcements.
  • Show relatively fluent and connected speech.
  • Follow broadly the gist of oral communication between native speakers in more demanding. Context (e.g. radiobroadcast, formal conversation, etc).
  • Use a variety of simple structures and some complex ones when speaking.
  • Use and understand a range of common everyday vocabulary.

High intermediate level English (level five).

General objectives.


The level five is designed to help high intermediate English course level students improve develop and solidify their intermediate language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing English.


  • Demonstrate and understand a range of common everyday vocabulary, some common phrases, and idioms.
  • Communicate facts and ideas in some detail.
  • Write 1-2 paragraphs letters and composition.
  • Follow main ideas, key words, and important details in a one- page plain language authentic tic text.
  • Communicate with some confidence in casual social conversation and in some less routine situation on familiar topics.

Advance English language (level six).

General objectives.


The advance English course is focused on developing students’ fluency and accuracy abilities, and to help students reach a level of competence that will allow them to interact with variety of more challenging, sophisticated topics.


  • Communicate effectively in most daily practical and social situations at both concrete and abstract levels.
  • Participate in both formal and informal conversation involving problems and solving and decision making
  • Demonstrate an increase ability to respond appropriately to the formality level of a social interaction
  • Write coherent paragraphs on familiar topics with clear main ideas supporting details. Develop a sense of audience.
  • Participate in conversation with confidence.
